The Westgate Public Library hosted coffee and an open house Saturday, February 2, to honor two retiring members of the Board of Trustees, Marlene Knapp and Cathie Gordon.
Marlene has been a part of the library for 40 years as a volunteer, library staff, and a member of the Board of Trustees. Even though she's retired from the Board, you'll still see her behind the circulation desk checking out your items for you on Tuesday mornings.
Cathie has been a member of the Board since 1998 and served as its president from 200-2012. In addition, she served as the chairman of the Westgate Community Building Building Committee and was responsible for securing the grants which constituted a major portion of the funding for the new Community Building and Library.
Thanks a million, ladies - our hats are off to both of you!
