Interlibrary Loan

Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Westgate Public library's policy and procedures on Interlibrary Loan. Include:

Because of limited budget and space, the library cannot provide all materials that are requested. Therefore, interlibrary loan is used to obtain from other libraries those materials that are beyond the scope of this library's collection.  There is a $2.00 per item charge for interlibrary loan requests.  This is to cover the cost of postage.

In return for utilizing interlibrary loan to satisfy the needs of our patrons, the Westgate Public Library agrees to lend its materials to other libraries through the same interlibrary loan network, and to make an effort to have its current holdings listed in a tool that is accessible by other libraries throughout the state.  Let the librarian know if there is something you are looking for and we will attempt to acquire the material for you! We are here to serve you!
